Established in 2001, Kavir steel is one of the largest steel mills in Iran. The company is majorly owned by a private sector, and partially listed to the Iranian stock market.

 

Product & Capacity

Kavir steel is a leading long steel product manufacturer in the Middle East, headquartered in Isfahan, Iran. The present product portfolio comprises of a range of quality steel grades and sizes in the form of plain bar and wire rod used in complex applications. These include, among others, steel wire for welding applications, free-cutting steel grades extensively used in mechanical engineering section, cold headings, bearings, connecting elements or hydraulic components subjected to high stresses that must function reliably under enormous pressures and many more. Ever since Kavir steel emerged, suppling steel construction products have also been our speciality. These include plain and ribbed wire rods and rebars, with around 55 percent of the total products exported to more than 16 countries in Asia, GCC, Europa and Africa. KSC currently holds the sixty-second place in the hundred-largest Iranian companies with more than 700 employees.

 

New Production Line

In order to diversify and expand our added-value product portfolios and export markets, KSC is investing heavily on the establishment of modern and cutting-edge steelmaking and continuous casting facilities, as well as revamping the existing hot rolling mill lines in our plant in Kashan. The new capacity will help the company to become independent from procuring billets from external sources, resulting to an increased competitiveness both in terms of quality, production volume (1.2 M tons per year) and prices.
